CALL FOR YOUTUBE VIDEO COMPETITION
The NEPC (Network of Education Policy Centers) is pleased to invite all young peopleunderthe age of 18 living in Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Estonia,Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia,Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan or Turkey to submit a short video onYouTube about education policy issues.
The goal of this competition is to engage young people in debate on quality of education and topromote active participation in the society.
Participants are encouraged to submit videos addressing following themes:
"Is free public education really for free?"
"We want to study together, no matter what our native language, ethnicity or religion is."
First Place – USD 500
Second Place – USD 300
Third Place – USD 200
RULE FOR PARTICIPATION:
The rule is simple: Make a video, 3 minutes or less in length, with English narration (or English subtitles) and put it on YouTube, tagged “NEPC video competition”. We encourage creativity and good sense of humor.
VIDEOS MUST NOT CONTAIN ANY COPYRIGHTED VIDEO, AUDIO, OR OTHER MATERIALS!
Participant must be a resident of the NEPC member countries1 to submit an entry.
To be considered, videos must be uploaded to YouTube and tagged “NEPC – Video Competition (your last name and country name)”, and must deliver the themes.
Each participant may make multiple videos.
Group work can be uploaded.
By submitting a video to this competition, participant agrees to allow the promoters to use video in the advocacy or other campaigns whether or not they are awarded a price.
Reviewing will take place by the date as indicated below by the committee. The Committee decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. The winner will be notified via email, on or before 20th December 2010.
The winner will be profiled on our NEPC website home page (www.edupolicy.net) as well as on Facebook page Network of Education Policy Centers and the website of the country member organization.
Submit your video by placing it on the YouTube and notifying the Video Competition Selection Committee firstname.lastname@example.org by e-mail with the subject line “NEPC YouTube Competition.” In the notification e-mail please do not forget to include information about yourself (Full name, Address, Country, School, grade), contact details in case you win one of the prizes as well as the link to your video on YouTube.

Reviewing and screening for nominations: December 5th, 2010
Notification of finalists: December 20th 2010
Reviewing will be done by a committee selected by the NEPC board.
